[SPORT NEWS] Arsenal proved they can play ugly... they'll need that to win the title - Danny Murphy

That's the verdict of Match of the Day 2 pundit Danny Murphy. The Gunners needed a 98th minute penalty from star man Alexis Sanchez to get over the line against the Clarets. They played for 25 minutes with 10 men after Granit Xhaka was sent off and struggled to fine their rhythm against a stubborn Burnley team. The win keeps the club in touch with leaders Chelsea - and Murphy says Arsenal showed the right desire. "Arsenal dug it out," he said. "After going down to 10 they showed really good spirit. "And if you're going to challenge for the title sometimes you've got to play well, and sometimes you have to win ugly. "Burnley were well-organised, brave, they played two up front. "They were well-drilled, strong, up for it. For long periods they were in the game." Shkodran Mustafi scored his first goal for the club to put Arsenal on course for victory before an Andre Gray penalty threatened to ruin the hosts' afternoon. But Sanchez's late penalty ensured a vital three-points for the Gunners.
