[SPORT NEWS]Paul Pogba is just like Bobby Charlton, insists Manchester United legend Paddy Crerand

Paul Pogba is a "special player" who can be compared to Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton, according to one of the club's greats.

Old Trafford hero Paddy Crerand played with Sir Bobby in a United career which spanned eight years.
The 77-year-old played for the club between 1963 and 1971, watches United every week and is now a commentator with MUTV.

And he says the £89million midfielder's determined style of play and the way he constantly wants the ball remind him of his former teammate.

Speaking to the club's official match programme, United Review, Crerand said: "Paul Pogba is just a special player...

"He is one of those kids that demand the ball all the time. Sometimes, if things don’t go right, one or two might hide for a little spell but he wants it constantly.
You know who was the same? Bobby Charlton. If he made a mistake, he still wanted it. Others might go into their shell for a bit but he never would.

"Paul’s the same and I think he’s fantastic."
Crerand won the European Cup with United in 1968 alongside Sir Bobby, now 79, whose Old Trafford career spanned 17 years between 1956 and 1973.
French international Pogba returned to the United team for their 2-0 win over Hull City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday and will line up against Liverpool on Sunday.
